Getting in wicked good shape in D.C.

Waiting in line at the station and taking the Metro in was fun. There was a feeling of joyous camaraderie in the air. Our whole car sang "Happy Birthday" to a 74-yr-old woman- which was then followed by the Stevie Wonder version. Crowding in tighter and tighter, people just got more accommodating. All day, I was basically sitting on people's laps.

The Metro Station was crazy at 5AM (and closed soon thereafter, I've been told!)

People liked me, despite my squeaky shoes.

Some in the crowd weren't so crazy about Bush.

Check out the applause for Obama!

Walking to Crystal City over the 14th St. Bridge for "A" beer...

Four hours later, the calm was deafening. Everyone had vanished!

A little from column A, a little from column B

Walked around town for about 3 hours this morning, despite the freezing cold. Bundled up in 5 layers- all that got cold were my cheeks. Now, with the day off from work, I think I'll enjoy the rest of my day inside- negating my efforts w/ Keystone Light.

I've lost 21 pounds in 2 weeks!

...not really, but I do have an expert witness here who would testify under oath.

Gotta get it together!

I haven't been exercising (or posting) as promised. I'm eating the same old food. Lately, I'd rather work on puzzles than walk in puddles. I'm feeling lazy. Regardless, I'm going to see this website through 'til the New Year's 2010. Success or Trainwreck. Feel free to make bets. I might even be sweet to some of that action. At least I've been spending quality time w/ the babies!

Extreme School Walk and Railwalking

Walking to School- EXTREME style

The "Who, What's & Why's" of Railwalking

The Writing on the Wall

Today was a good day for fun & fitness. All together, I walked around town for about two hours and found "The Dark Crystal" for 99 cents. Also- I volunteered to be a Team Leader of my company's "Eat Well, Live Well" program, which starts in about a week. From what I understand, they'll give me a membership to the YMCA (23 passes, anyway), a pedometer, workshops and some other stuff. Sounds great.

I'll be figuring out the video editing software pretty soon, trust me... but, for now, I hope you have enjoyed all the little clips. It will be fun to be able to splice and add music. What music would I use for this next one- The Dancing Airman?
